Attleboro Scholarship Foundation
Interest-Free Loan Program
The Attleboro Scholarship Foundation supports local students by providing interest-free loans to deserving high school graduates from the Attleboro community. These loans are awarded based on financial need, and repayment begins after graduation. Recipients have five years (60 months) to repay their loan.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, applicants must:
-
Be a resident of Attleboro for at least one year prior to submitting the application.
-
Be accepted as a full-time student at an accredited post-secondary institution.
-
Apply for all other available scholarships and financial aid programs before being considered for this loan.
Interest-free loans are awarded in the amount of $2,000 per year. Students may reapply annually for up to four years, provided they continue to meet academic and financial eligibility criteria.
Application Process
-
Beginning in January, Attleboro high school seniors—regardless of the high school they attend—may obtain an application from their school’s guidance or scholarship office, or directly from the Attleboro Scholarship Foundation.
-
Applicants must also complete the CSS Profile Financial Aid Form online at cssprofile.org. When completing the form, use the Foundation’s code: 0613 in the section that asks where to send your report.
-
The application deadline is March 20.
-
The CSS Profile Report is due by April 1.
All applications are reviewed in April by the Foundation’s awards committee. To maintain applicant confidentiality, applications are reviewed anonymously by number.
Notification of award decisions will be sent by email/mail in May. Please note that not all applicants will receive a loan.
Before funds are disbursed, both the student and a parent must sign a promissory note each academic year.
