SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS

The Attleboro Scholarship Foundation efficiently administers many of the scholarships awarded to the college bound students in the community, which are designed to help students defray the cost of higher education. These scholarships are provided by local companies, organizations and individuals. View our Scholarship Listing for the description of individual scholarships.


SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS

The Attleboro Scholarship Foundation administers numerous scholarships. Call for applications for the following scholarships. The deadline for all scholarship applications to reach our office is April 1st, unless otherwise noted.

FOR GRADUATING ATTLEBORO HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS

Lloyd G. Balfour Foundation Service Scholarship - National Honor Society Member and service to school and community.

Hebronville Community Association Scholarship - Must reside in Hebronville section in Attleboro.

Lynn C. Goodchild Memorial Scholarship - For a student planning to continue his/her education in the business field who will be attending a college in New England, preferably, Bryant College.

General Scholarship Application - Use this application to apply for all of the other available scholarships that do not have a separate application. See complete listing.

APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE TO OTHERS

Falls A/C - Golf League Scholarship - Graduating high school seniors from AHS and NAHS. Preference given to a golf team member.

William Bergevine Memorial - Open to high school senior from AHS or BFHS who has contributed to the community.

Professional Firefighters of Attleboro Local 848 Scholarship - Application is open to graduating high school seniors from AHS, BFHS and family members of an Attleboro Firefighter from any school.

Curtis Stanley Gallup Memorial Scholarship - Graduating high school senior from AHS or BFHS who as overcome difficult odds to succeed.

Emmett Larkin Memorial Scholarship - Graduating high school senior who resides in Attleboro and attends AHS or BFHS. Member of the baseball team and played minimum of 4 years Attleboro Youth Baseball League.

Rotary Service Scholarship - Graduating high school senior from AHS or BFHS who resides in Attleboro. Community and school service will be considered.

Royal Baker Scholarship - Applicant must reside in Attleboro and be accepted into a full-time graduate degree program.

LLOYD G. BALFOUR FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM (BANK OF AMERICA - TRUSTEES)

EMPLOYEE PROGRAM

Application is open to children and grandchildren of the former Balfour Company.

Criteria:
If you were employed when the Balfour Company in Attleboro either closed or moved to a new location in 1995/1996, you must have been hired by the Balfour Company prior to October 5, 1983.

If you were no longer with company upon its closing you must have been employed by the Balfour Company on July 12, 1973, the date on which the founder of the company, Lloyd G. Balfour, died.

Employment dates must be verified. Contact the Attleboro Scholarship Foundation for an application.

Scholarship support for Attleboro students - based on financial need.


L.G. BALFOUR SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP

Graduating Attleboro High School Senior - service to school and community - National Honor Society member.


ATTLEBORO AREA FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME SCHOLARSHIPS

For graduating High School seniors of Attleboro High School, Bishop Feehan High School and North Attleboro High School who have participated in their school's football program.


THE LLOYD G. BALFOUR FOUNDATION PROVIDES $273,000.00 IN YEARLY SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS IN THE ATTLEBORO AREA.



CREATE A NEW SCHOLARSHIP FUND ...

Do you have an upcoming class reunion? Maybe your classmates would like to establish a scholarship for your class.

Do you have someone in your life that you would like to establish a memorial scholarship for? " In lieu of flowers" is one way to begin a scholarship fund.

If you are interested in establishing either a yearly scholarship in any amount, or an endowed scholarship, you may contact the Foundation's office for assistance.
